Brock leads candidates in spending

Spending declines as zero-hour approaches for the general election with many of the hopefuls already in high gear for their election campaigns.General Sessions Judge candidate Jean Brock was the high roller when it came to spending during the quarter-year leading up to the general election. Neither she nor her opponent, incumbent Judge Bill Locke, had opposition during the primaries this spring. Locke was uncontested for the Democratic nomination while Brock is running as an Independent.According to campaign finance reports for the second quarter, Brock outspent Locke nearly two-to-one by an amount of $5,677 to $2,928.
