Saying learning the three “R’s” of spirituality is even more important than the three “R’s” of education, keynote speaker Lane Dix urged the Boyd Christian School Class of 2012 to never stray from their Christian roots.“Most importantly, remember the importance of truth,” Dix urged the seven Boyd graduates during commencement at Central Church of Christ Thursday evening. “Take the truth with you. The truth will always be your friend.”Dix told students that while they have excelled in the three R’s of reading, writing and arithmetic, they should take with them the three R’s of spirituality which include rejoicing in the Lord, removing anything that would cause them pain in eternity and remembering the good influences they have had.“Who you associate with from now on will be on your shoulders,” Dix said, noting the students should also remember not to neglect their family ties even if they move away to college or for a career.
