A man caught with a meth lab was not only sent to jail for half a year, but has also been ordered to pay for the over $5,000 cleanup of the toxic mess left behind.The defendant, Marcus Conway Boren, was directed to serve 180 days of an eight-year sentence for initiating the process to manufacture meth, simple possession of drugs, burglary of an auto, driving on a suspended license, and passing worthless checks. He must also pay $5,881 to have the residence professionally cleaned and brought up to codes due to the contamination left behind by the meth lab.His sentence comes after lawmen raided the rental house where the lab was being operated. Officers reported finding numerous items used in the production of the illegal drug inside the residence.
