Bluegrass Underground hits TV

Local residents will be treated to an open viewing of the premiere of Bluegrass Underground on Nashville Public Television in January.A private viewing has already been held in Nashville at the Watkins Art Institute with one city official in attendance. “It was fun,” said McMinnville Vice Mayor Everett Brock, who attended the viewing with his wife. “They had a reception set up with guest speakers.”Only individuals who had something to do with the making of the first season of Bluegrass Underground were invited to attend — sponsors, performers, producers, lighting guys, etc.The city of McMinnville was one of the underwriters of the first season.“After we ate, they took us into an audio/ visual room,” said Brock.
