The public is invited to a retirement reception honoring UT Extension director Dale Beaty today from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Magnolia Room of Warren County Administrative Offices at 201 Locust Street.Beaty’s 35 years with the University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Service are coming to an end March 31. He is retiring from the positions of extension director and adult agriculture agent.Beaty holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science and agriculture and a master’s degree in large animal nutrition, both of which he received from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.Beaty began working as an extension agent in Dayton in January of 1978. He worked there for about four years before moving to McMinnville where he has been ever since.Beaty said he has enjoyed getting to work with people and trying to help them.
