The killing of two newborns by their mother in Hendersonville may have been averted had the mother known of a state law which allows infants to be safely given away without questions through what is known as the Safe Haven Law.The mother, Lindsey Lowe, 25, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and is being held without bond. She maintains she did not know she was pregnant before she gave birth to the twins while she was in the bathroom at her parents’ home. The identity of the father remains a mystery.
