Baby born on snowy freeway

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) — Police in suburban Atlanta say they helped deliver a baby girl on a local freeway when snow and ice brought traffic to a crawl. Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose says the baby girl was delivered around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday and it's unclear if her parents were headed to the hospital when they got stuck in the traffic jam. Traffic came to a halt in some areas as many ended their workdays early and tried navigating slippery highways throughout the region.
