Wendy Askins won’t be Living the Dream any longer.The embattled executive director of the Upper Cumberland Development District resigned Tuesday morning amid an avalanche of corruption allegations. She admitted she “made some mistakes.”According to NewsChannel 5, Askins met Tuesday morning with members of the UCDD investigative committee that was formed to dig into the allegations against her. It was at that point she resigned.In her resignation letter, Askins claimed she never personally profited from her UCDD activities.The Upper Cumberland Development District is a state government agency that serves a 14-county area that includes Warren County.
