Warren County’s new National Guard Armory is second on the state list of federal projects in Tennessee, according to Adjutant Gen. Terry M. “Max” Haston. Haston, a Warren County native, is responsible for the supervision of the Military Department of Tennessee, which includes the Army National Guard, the Air National Guard, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and the Tennessee State Guard. However, this does not guarantee the armory will go up in the near future, but it does mean it will be built when funds are available.Gen. Haston spoke Thursday at Noon Rotary and talked about where the armory project stands.“We have made the first step,” Haston said. “The armory here in McMinnville out by the Health Department is the second oldest armory in the state of Tennessee.
