Applicants sought for Habitat for Humanity house

If you’d like to own your own home – and don’t mind working with a hammer and nails – you could be a candidate for the next Habitat for Humanity home built in Warren County.Candidates are being sought for what will be the county’s 22nd Habitat for Humanity home with work scheduled to start this spring.Applications are currently available at Caney Fork Electric, McMinnville Electric, the Senior Center, and the Department of Human Services. The applications will need to be picked up and completed before an application fair at Warren Academy on Nov. 14 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.“We want to make it clear what people have to do to get a house,” said Diane Stanley, a charter member of the local Habitat for Humanity board. “This is a hand-up, not a handout.
