If you are a fan of art, all types of art, make your way downtown Saturday. An all-day arts experience called Arts Spring plans to merge performing, visual and written arts into one event taking place Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The arts experience will encompass different types of music, writers, songwriters, poets, novelists, storytellers, comedians and other performing artists in a local venue.
Several poets will be traveling from out of town to share their written words.
Tennessee Valley Woodworkers will be located in the Lively building. Karen Browning will will be showing people how to turn wood.
Paintings, artwork, photographs, wooden sculptures and pottery will be available to admire and to purchase inside Pirtle and Little law office, Chamber of Commerce, Citizens Tri-County Bank and Southern Museum and Galleries.
Arts Spring organizer Tisha Emberton said, “Spring is a symbolization of renewal. We have been wanting to do this for a while. We hope to get people inside businesses downtown and create tourism, showcasing the arts that are sometimes overlooked. We also want people to learn and to motivate them to create art as well.”
Two stages will showcase talent. Earth Stage performances will include:

• 10:15 a.m. - Jacob Acre, music
• 10:25 a.m. - Zelena O’Sullivan, paintings
• 10:30 a.m. - Karen Browning, Tennessee Valley Woodworkers
• 10:35 a.m. - Bruce Atnip, poetry and music
• 10:55 - Tim Muscetta, woodworker and stone works
• 11 a.m. - James Jr., poetry
• 11:15 a.m. - Tisha Emberton, Poet of the Angels poetry
• 11:30 a.m. - Andy Brown - blues music
• 12 noon - As Yourself, band
• 1 p.m. - Paula’s Dance Academy
• 1:30 p.m. - Gary Steele Karate Studio
• 2 p.m. - Heather Davis, “Melody,” R&B/ rap music
• 2:15 p.m. Thomas Merriman, “Axl,” rap/ poetry
• 2:25 p.m. - Sylvia Lewis “Simply Sil,” poetry
• 2:45 p.m. - Imani Rhema, poetry
• 3:05 p.m. - Jakeata Conyers, poetry
• 3:25 p.m. - Julius Hill and Terrell black “The Voice and The Vision,” poetry/ art

Booths will also be set up where artists can display and sell their wares. Arts available at the various booths will include jewelry, crafts and recycling, paintings, woodworks, stoneworks, photography and handmade purses.
Several authors will also be selling their books.
The Black House on West Main Street will be giving tours.
The Company You Keep band will be performing inside Highland Rim Music.
Collins River BBQ and Cafe will be alive with music throughout the evening. Southern Flavor will begin playing at 6 p.m. Trey Binkley, Jacob Acre and Andy Brown are set to perform during the songwriters round. The Anderson/ Brown Band will play at Collins River BBQ beginning at 8 p.m.

All-day art show to be on display in downtown McMinnville
