Airport upgrades still under way

The old, cracked asphalt in front of one of the hangars at Warren County Memorial Airport has been removed and new asphalt has been laid. Temporary taxi markings have also been painted on the new asphalt.Richard Crawford, airport director, informed members of the Warren County Commission via letter of updates taking place at the airport.Crawford said the new asphalt needed 30 days to cure and warmer temperatures to arrive before a seal coat would be applied.“Now that spring is soon upon us, the airport plans on applying the seal coat in late April and May. Once complete, permanent taxi markings will be painted bringing completion to the apron project.
