Accused shoplifter says he found goods on ground

A man who faces shoplifting and drug charges after he was allegedly caught taking items from Walmart says he found the items on the ground outside the store and had nothing to do with stealing anything.The defendant, Joshua Joel Bain, 28, served as his own attorney during his recent preliminary hearing before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke. He failed to get an acquittal and was instead bound over to the grand jury on charges of shoplifting and possession of drugs. His case is set to be heard by the Warren County grand jury.The charges were leveled after Walmart security agent Casey Tubb spied Bain and alleged co-conspirator Karia Funk acting suspiciously.
