The youthful Pioneers were back on the gridiron last weekend participating in a jamboree held at Nunley Stadium. It was a packed house as over 100 players and cheerleaders were there to represent Warren County, while even more players flocked to town from Grundy County, DeKalb County, Franklin County and Columbia.
The Warren County Youth Football Association, which is back in action for the first time in five years, has attracted enough kids to field five teams this fall. Those teams will be in action in this Saturday at Rockvale.
Game times for the Pioneers include: D1 Pioneers vs. Williamson County at 9 a.m., D2-B Pioneers vs. Tullahoma at 2 p.m., D2-A Pioneers vs. Columbia at 2:30 p.m., D3-A Pioneers vs. Marshall County at 4:45 p.m. and the D3-B Pioneers vs. Columbia at 7 p.m.
Warren County will start play in the Southern Middle Tennessee Youth Football League at home Saturday, Aug. 12. Games will begin at 10 a.m. at Nunley Stadium.
