WCMS wins easily

Warren County Middle School’s volleyball team drilled Franklin South in a doubleheader on Thursday at WCMS.
The Lady Pioneers won with scores of 25-4 and 25-10 in the first match and 25-11 and 25-7 in the second match. 
Mea Starkey got WCMS out to a 7-2 lead in the first set. Then Madison Hollis served 14 straight to make the score 22-3. Next, Marli McBride came in to finish out the game and help the Lady Pioneers win.
In the second set, Krista Chisam served 7 straight to give WCMS a 22-10 lead. Hollis came in the end again to give the Lady Pioneers the set and the first match.
In match two, WCMS was able to start some JV players. Jessie Young got a big-time lead serving 8 straight. The score was 18-6. Then Mea Hobbs came in and served 5 straight to provide a 23-9 lead. The Lady Pioneers went out with a 25-10 win. In the final game, WCMS took the win, 25-7.
“We had solid serving for both matches” said WCMS head coach Kelly Clayborne.
WCMS will be back in action Tuesday with a home match against Algood Middle School at 4:30p.m.
