WCMS sweeps preseason tourney titles

Sable Winfree scored eight points in Friday's preseason championship game to lead WCMS to a 24-15 victory over Morrison. Winfree was named tourney MVP.
The trophy case at Warren County Middle School will be a little more crowded Monday morning. The WCMS sixth-grade basketball teams swept the preseason 5-6 grade tournament Friday, with both proving victorious in matchups at Morrison Elementary School. The Lady Pioneers started the night with a 24-15 victory over Morrison, while the Pioneers downed the Centertown Warriors 47-8 in the nightcap.
