After a long summer full of anticipation and preparation, the Warren County Middle School girls soccer team kicked off its season Saturday at the Coffee County playday. The Lady Pioneers return 15 players from last year’s team, along with 17 new players to complete the 32-player roster.Lady Pioneer head coach Matt Walker said, “We have many multi-sport players on the roster. We have been a little rusty with our soccer skills but I feel we can use our athleticism early and strengthen our skills throughout the season leaving us with a great chance to experience success in the postseason tournaments.”WCMS returns five starters from last year’s team and has a solid group of girls with middle school experience.
