Jumping off to a dominant 19-4 halftime lead, the Warren County Middle School boys 5-6 grade basketball team never looked back, defeating Bobby Ray’s Stars, 38-14, at the final buzzer.Wesley Sherrell led the offense for the Pioneer boys (13-1), garnering a game-high 10 points, scoring in all four quarters followed by Kaden Rutledge with 6.The Star (6-5) offense was driven by Treyton Terry with 6 points.Also scoring for Warren County Middle School were Sawyer Seymour, Braylon Grayson and Owen Clark with 4 points apiece, Jax King and Jason Jacobs each had 3, and Grady Burnette was good for a 2-point field goal.Adding to Bobby Ray’s tally was Traice Crosby, Isaiah Cummings and Michael Haywood with 2 points each, and Thomas Woodlee and Taven Black hit one from the line for 1 point each.The Pioneer team travels to West for its next matchup Friday, Dec. 2.Bobby Ray will be at Eastside on Thursday, Dec. 1. Game times are 6 p.m.
