Scoring both inside and outside the paint, Warren County Middle School’s C.J. Taylor rocketed to 29 points in the Pioneers victory, 43-30, over visiting Franklin County North ensuring WCMS stayed undefeated on the season.Fundamentally sound, the Pioneers (9-0) distributed the rock with precision, outscoring the Gators, 28-17, at the half as Taylor hit for three treys, three buckets and 5-of-5 from the line.“We’re playing harder and smarter,” said Warren County Middle School coach Isaiah Phillips. “We have to stay focused on our main goal.”The Gators main offensive player was Taeron Sons, who hit for 13 total game points, scoring in all four quarters.Also scoring for the Pioneers were C.J. Anthony with 4 points, Dante Elam and Kaden Jordan with 3 points each, and Chase Simerly and Aiden Grissom both scored 2 points apiece.The Pioneers travel to Tullahoma East for a rare daytime game on Monday, Dec. 12, at noon.
