The Warren County Middle School football team has been hard at work during the summer in preparation for the upcoming football season. The Pioneers are coming off a season that didn’t quite live up to expectations, going 2-5 last year, but return several key starters on the gridiron, such as running backs C.J. Taylor and Xander Lee, wide receivers C.J. Anthony and Tyler Taylor, quarterback Clay Thompson, and linebacker Bryson Elrod. The entire coaching staff for the Pioneers is head coach Donnie Harris, Jeff Watson, Darek Elrod, Nick Cantrell and new addition to the staff Caleb Northcutt.Coach Harris provided insight on what the team might look like heading into the season.“We have a good group of kids coming back to the team,” said Harris.
