Tullahoma East was the latest speed bump for the Warren County Middle School 7-8 grade boys basketball team.
The Pioneers slowed down briefly, then proceeded to flatten Tullahoma on the way to a convincing 59-17 victory on the road Monday night.
The win improved WCMS to 13-4 as the Pioneers have won seven of their last eight.
The game was only close for the opening quarter. After that, WCMS barreled its way to a 30-13 halftime lead.
If Tullahoma entertained any hopes of a second-half comeback, those hopes were crushed when the Pioneer defense only allowed two points in the third quarter.
A.D. Majors led a balanced WCMS scoring attack with 12 points. Jake Pennington was also in double digits with 10.
Isaac Golden hit two 3-pointers on his way to nine points. Darius Wright scored eight, Will Lupo had seven, Krojhn Calbert had four, Grant Walker had three, and Ryan Nokes and Jack Davidson each had two.
