The Warren County Middle School baseball team is no stranger to long winning streaks. Coach David Martin is hopeful the one his team is currently on can rival the one the Pioneers put together last season.Warren County downed DeKalb County 7-2 Friday night to take home its fourth victory in a row and improve its record to 5-3 this season.Last year, after an early-season loss to Shelbyville Harris, the Pioneers rolled to 11 straight victores en route to a regular season championship in the Central Tennessee Conference. This season, the Pioneers dropped consecutive games against Coffee County before beating Prescott South, sweeping Franklin South and, most recently, taking down the visiting Saints.Trevor Collins earned the win on the hill for the Pioneers Friday against DeKalb County while Trayton Rackley ignited the Pioneer offense with a solo home run in the second inning.Warren County owned a 3-0 lead after the first inning on RBI hits by Wesley Jennings and Crockett Walker, along with a run-scoring groundout by Rackley.After the Saints scored one in the second, DeKalb County was hopeful it could keep the momentum with a quick inning.
