Basham defeated Reagon by a score of 8-1. The first serve by Basham was the key to the large margin of victory. Reagon never had much of a chance in returning the powerful service game from the Pioneer.
Campos defeated Han 8-1 in another match that was never really in doubt
Austin defeated Methvih, 8-1 by Austin keeping his opponent on his toes.
Sauer defeated Debrath, 8-1 and after winning an early game Cumberland County lost focus and Sauer claimed victory.
In Lady Pioneers doubles matches, Katie Phillips and Tomomi Yago defeated Carrie Threet and Madison McLaughlin by a final score of 8-2. These two are very closely matched and they continue to move through their competition with perfectly placed return shots.
Hailey Rowland and Mya Gross defeated Mary Kemp and Rani Patel by a final score of 8-5. Rowland kept pace with Gross and the two disposed of their opponents but the match was very close until the Lady Pioneer duo finally broke their opponent’s serve.
