The Warren County High School golf team was back in action Monday afternoon as it teed off in a match against DeKalb County and White County at McMinnville Country Club.The Pioneers and Lady Pioneers were coming off impressive showings last week in Cookeville at the Tennessee Tech Golf Club against White County and Cookeville and were looking to continue the momentum Monday.On the boys side, Bracton Womack shot 73, while Levi Craven and Peyton Haston weren’t far behind as they both shot 78, to lead the way for the Pioneers. Jaden Pyburn and Nate Cantrell rounded out the scores for the Pioneers with 94 and 98, respectively.The Pioneers finished with an overall score of 323 to win the match, with the Warriors coming in second with a score of 339, and Tigers finishing third with a score of 406.For the Lady Pioneers, Valeria Vargas finished with an impressive score of 80, while Alli Mingle finished with a 91. Ireland Moore finished with a score of 100 and Mia Cantrell finished with 109.The Tigerettes withdrew from the match on Monday afternoon, leaving the Lady Pioneers to face off against the Warriorettes.
