The hangover from a tough weekend for the Warren County High School volleyball team in Chattanooga didn’t seem to last long. The Lady Pioneers bounced back from a 1-3 weekend record to defeat Cannon and Van Buren counties on Tuesday at Charlie Dalton Gym.Warren County defeated Van Buren County 25-9 and 25-17. The Lady Pioneers then returned to the court to take down Cannon County 25-12 and 25-21.Coach Franklin Fisher called both teams visiting Charlie Dalton Gym young and exciting, but it was the steady play of Fisher’s veteran team that dominated the day.The Lady Pioneers welcomed back senior Chelsea Cope on Tuesday after the team’s libero had missed the previous week with a hamstring injury. Cope’s presence gave Fisher a chance to look at new strategies, as the coach rotated his starting lineup around and mixed in some young players.Coach Fisher was pleased with the two wins by his team, but it was his opponents which caught his eye.“I always enjoy playing these two teams because they are young and excited about the game,” said Fisher.
