I’m taking a chance and going ahead with writing this column, thinking Florida will not beat Kentucky on Saturday and the Wildcats will post a perfect record, thus leaving them 31-0. It will be a feat not seen in men’s basketball since the 32-0 Indiana Hoosiers back in 1976.This past Tuesday night, Kentucky played in front of a hostile Georgia crowd but somehow managed to go on a 16-2 scoring run and eventually win by a final score of 72-62, shocking Bulldog fans and leaving people scratching their heads as to what just happened. The Kentucky players insist the college world may be focused on a perfect season but they are still taking it one game at a time.
