Six Warren County athletes brushed elbows with the best in 2023. Ally Beneke, Lauren Slatton, Ella Van Vranken, Aidan Lindsay, Seth Lindsay and Zerek Keel all qualified individually for state tournaments, doing great jobs representing the Pioneers and Lady Pioneers at the highest level of competition.

Beneke and Slatton won titles (See 1B for more), while the trio of wrestlers and Warren County's fastest female ever were no slouches at state. Keel and the Lindsay brothers all picked up wins on the mat at state in February, though none were able to medal.

Van Vranken, the school record holder in the 400, 800, 1,600 and 3,200, finished ninth in the 800 at state.
