The Warren County High School tennis team’s season rested on the shoulders of three players Monday. Seth Grissom, Shunsuke Nakashima and Thomas Locke traveled to Lee University to compete in the individual regional tournament just days after the Pioneers were knocked out of the team regional tournament by McMinn County.A similiar fate awaited the three Pioneers who made the trip to East Tennessee. Grissom was knocked out in the first round of the individual tournament by McMinn County’s Matthew Pannell, while Nakashima and Locke suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Dylan Coultier and Nick McWherter of Rhea County.Grissom, who won the singles District 6-AAA tournament to advance, won his first set 6-4, but went on to drop the following sets 6-4, 6-3.
