Who’s the team to beat in the Centertown Coach Pitch League?

Crisp Springs Market thinks it can contend for the league championship after a convincing 22-11 win over Nokes Grave Service on Friday night.

Reagan Jones had one of the biggest hits of the night for Crisp Springs Market, a powerful grand slam home run in the third inning to put the icing on the cake.

Hennessee Cope and Shy Jacobs also homered for Crisp Springs Market, showing the team has big bats up and down the lineup.

The win was a needed bounce-back game for Crisp Springs Market after a stunning loss to Dr Pepper the night before. Dr Pepper is looking to be included in the conversation as one of the best teams in the league, a conversation that’s been dominated by Anderson Welding.

Dr Pepper followed Thursday’s big win with an 11-6 victory Friday over Huff N Puff Trucking. Shelby Hutcheson gave the Dr Pepper offense a refreshing lift with 2 runs scored and Chrissa Banks had 3 hits and scored 1 run.

The Dr Pepper defense is solidified by Tyler Crim at the pitcher position. He made a spectacular grab over his head on a hard line drive in the final inning.

For Huff N Puff, leadoff batter Kaylee Young was a star. She finished with 3 hits and 2 runs scored.
