If you’re only going to score one goal in a match, it’s wise to make sure it’s a game winner.Cole Millard lifted the Warren County High School soccer team past Stone Memorial Thursday night with a sudden-death goal, the only one scored in the 1-0 Pioneer victory.Warren County (4-3) was coming off a 6-2 loss to Soddy Daisy Tuesday when it made the trip to Crossville to play its first District 6-AAA match of the season. It turned out to be an instant classic as the Pioneers and Panthers battled to a scoreless tie after 80 minutes.Coach Todd Willmore watched as his team had several close shots throughout the match. None could find the net though as the Pioneers’ sizable advantage in ball control wasn’t able to produce a goal.
