Storms stop games

Thursday’s storms caused extensive rescheduling for most sports programs around Warren County.Of the six games scheduled, one was played, while two others were moved to different dates and have already been completed. Three more have already set their makeup dates in the near future.The Warren County Middle School soccer team was able to find a short reprieve in the rain and played Shelbyville at home. On a rain-soaked field, the Pioneers lost 5-0.The Warren County Middle School softball team knew the rain would arrive Thursday, so the team went to Tullahoma a day earlier, where it lost 3-2.The Warren County High School baseball team did plenty of shuffling to try to get in two games against Tullahoma.The Pioneers were originally scheduled to play a home-and-home series against the Wildcats Thursday and Friday night.After the weather reports showed rain throughout the weekend, the original plan called for a doubleheader in Warren County Thursday.Rain caused the postponement of those games, but the doubleheader moved to Friday night where Warren County suffered two losses.The Pioneers lost 15-0 in five innings, then fell 6-1 in the second game.
