WCMS girls basketball tryouts

The Warren County Middle School girls basketball team will be holding tryouts for 7-8 grade students during the 2019-20 school year. Student-athletes who are currently enrolled at WCMS can attend tryouts Monday, May 13 at 3-5 p.m. Any students who are not currently enrolled at WCMS but are zoned for the school can attend tryouts Thursday, May 23 from 12-2 p.m. All athletes will need to fill out a pre-participation form to be allowed to try out.

The Thursday, May 23 tryout is not for upcoming sixth-graders, which was previous reported in the Standard. A sixth-grade tryout will be held in the fall.

Viola Valley Half Marathon

The Viola Valley Half Marathon will be held Saturday, May 18 at 7 a.m. The cost to enter is $50. The race will be limited to the first 650 runners.
