Phillies pitcher Brant Young tried to get Mayfield out at first, but his throw went wide of the mark.Jackson and Helton would each score on the errant throw, giving the Mets an early 2-0 lead.Helton, who totaled 30 strikeouts in the tournament, ran into some trouble in the bottom of the first. Walks to Young and Lucas Scruggs gave the Phillies two men aboard with one out.Helton was able to battle out of the jam with a strikeout and ground out to second base.
