Coach David Upton didn’t have very many difficult choices when he held tryouts for the Warren County High School softball team. The Lady Pioneers were without a senior last season, which meant coach Upton’s entire starting nine returned from a 19-win season, a new school record.Though Warren County was without a senior for the 2011 season, the 2012 roster features a number of four-year contributors.Seniors Gabi Keith, Lauren Wilkinson, Morgan Frye and Taylor Grissom return after being named All-District 6-AAA players as juniors. They are joined by senior Sarah Jacobs, Chelsea Cope, Lindsey Rowland and Peytan Hall, who each have held starting positions since their sophomore year.Keith was the team’s starting pitcher last season, while Wilkinson has started at shortstop since her freshman year.
