Pistole Park soccer complex was the sight of the 3-on-3 All-Star Shootout Saturday which featured 23 teams from across the state in five different divisions.The tournament, which was the first of its kind this year for Pistole Park, was a giant success as Warren County Youth Soccer officials partnered with All-Star Sporting Events tournament director Justin Waggoner to hold the event which will become a yearly tournament.Games from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. produced winners in five different divisions, including a local team in the under-8 boys division. Team Vazquez from McMinnville was the only local winner as the five-player squad swept through its bracket.Other winning teams including Team Dynamite from Winchester in the under-8 girls, the Manchester Storm in under-10 girls, Crossville FC in the under-11 co-ed blue division and another Crossville FC team in the under-12 co-ed red division.Warren County had nine teams participate in the tournament and those squads will get another chance soon to take the field at Pistole Park.Warren County Youth Soccer president John Upchurch has announced the league will hold a similar tournament Saturday, July 20 at Pistole Park. The tournament will be open to teams from under-6 to adult in boys, girls and co-ed divisions.
