Seven Lady Pioneers wanted to go out in style Thursday night at Warren County High School soccer field and Rhea County happened to be the sacrificial lamb.Warren County romped Rhea County, the newest member of District 6-AAA, 8-0 on senior night as the Lady Pioneers improved to 12-2 this season.Seniors played a huge part in the victory as team captain Ansley Mullican scored three goals and added two assists. Morgan McCormick had the opposite performance as she scored two goals and handed out three helpers.Fellow seniors Lesley Sweeton, Kristin Maynard, Courtney Blair, Taylor Mullican and Jessie Newby all started and played well throughout to help the Lady Pioneers record the shutout on senior night.Coach Todd Willmore, who has presided over this group as they have won 55 games and counting in their careers, believes the seniors’ chemistry and talent has pushed the program to new heights.“I’m very proud of this group and what they have accomplished thus far. We are excited about he possibilities for the remainder of the season,” said Willmore.
