The Warren County Sports Hall of Fame hopes to resume accepting nominations for new inductees this fall.

The board had begun accepting nominations for a new Hall of Fame class earlier this year but chose to stop shortly thereafter.

“We started accepting nominations back in March but decided in April to hold off until after the pandemic,” said Gary Judkins, a Hall of Fame committee member.

Judkins said when the committee decides to start accepting nominees again it will notify the public through the Southern Standard.

“It’ll probably be sometime during the upcoming basketball season when the committee votes on the 2021 class,” added Judkins.

The last class inducted was in 2018. The inductees were Ronnie Brown, Marie Barnes Caldwell, Edd Cantrell Sr., Charlie Dalton, Marie Humphrey Davis, Bobby Haile, and Pedro Paz.
