If the 3-Point Club postseason tournament is anything like the end of the 7-8 grade boys regular season, fans better be buying their tickets now. Local battles on the hardwood are becoming much-watch affairs.

Centertown and Morrison played the game of the year Monday, with the Warriors pulling out a 56-50 victory in double overtime. Across town, Irving College was putting the final touches on a perfect season by beating Dibrell 52-40 behind Anden Green's 27-point explosion. Eastside also capped off the regular season with a 50-23 victory over Boyd.

Centertown and Morrison have went to overtime in each of their meetings this year, with Monday's being double the fun in extra time. Jack Moore's splendid shooting from deep, including a late 3-pointer in the fourth, helped the Warriors prevail. He finished with 12 points, including sinking three triples.

Kiptyn Medley was the hero in OT, scoring seven of his team-high 16 points in extra time to push Centertown to 7-3 this season. Medley's 3-pointer in double OT was the backbreaker for the Eagles, who were led by 12 points each from Silas Murphy and Jaylen Norwood. Norwood was a sharp shooter for the Eagles, sinking two triples in the foruth quarter as Morrison tried to hold off a charge from Centertown.

Moore and Medley were too much though as their three triples in the fourth helped erase a six-point deficit going into the final period and ultimately secured the No. 2 seed in the postseason tournament for the Warriors.
