Who will the Tennessee Titans pick Thursday night?

The Standard is interested in hearing who local football fans believe will be the next first-round selection for the Titans at the No. 29 pick. Readers are welcome to visit the Standard website, where they can vote on who they would like the Titans to pick.

Choices for the Titans selection were cobbled together from the latest mock drafts across the internet. Football writers have gravitated to two positions in most mock drafts, assuming the Titans will look to find replacements at offensive tackle (after Jake Conklin was signed by the Cleveland Browns) or cornerback (where it is assumed Logan Ryan will not be re-signed).

Two mock drafts had the Titans selecting OT Austin Jackson from USC, while other pundits had Tennessee taking OT Isaiah Wilson from Georgia or OT Josh Jones from Houston. Clemson DB AJ Terrell, TCU CB Jeff Gladney and LSU CB Kristian Fulton are all possibilities as well.

Last season, the Titans drafted defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons from Mississippi State in front of a giant crowd on Lower Broadway in Nashville. After recovering from an ACL injury, Simmons played a pivotal role down the stretch as the Titans reached the AFC championship game.

A few NFL mock drafts have the Titans addressing the defensive line again, picking either DT Neville Gallimore from Oklahoma or Penn State DE Yetur Gross-Matos.

The NFL draft is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Thursday on ESPN. The first round will air Thursday, with rounds 2-3 following on Friday and rounds 4-7 on Saturday.
