Playing with over 100 girls in the 88th Annual Tennessean/Metro Parks Schooldays golf tournament, 13-year-old Hannah Powell didn’t seem to stand out.It was nothing new for Powell as she has had to build a new reputation as a top golfer in Tennessee since moving to the state a year ago.Powell more than held her own, finishing stroke play in the top eight to qualify for the match-play tournament. Powell won her first match 4-and-3, but succumbed to eventual champion Alexandria Farnsworth in the semifinals.Powell played in the 12-17-year-old division, the home-school student from Warren County proved from day one she was one of the top golfers at McCabe Golf Course in Nashville.Powell played the 18-hole course at one-over, finishing at 74. Her round tied her for the sixth-best score of all players in the event and moved her into the match-play tournament with some of the top golfers in the state, including Farnsworth.Farnsworth also shot 74, but a scorecard tiebreaker gave Powell the No.
