Ponytail's runs away with win
baseball

Officially this Senior League game was a Perry’s Garage win via forfeit, as Ponytail’s did not have the requisite number of regular (non-pickup) players for the game. The teams scrimmaged anyway Tuesday night in Centertown because summer softball is all about fun.

Ponytail coach Tisha Muncey had her players focused and ready to go, and Ponytail’s was fine-tuned for a 21-1 win in four innings due to the mercy rule.

For Ponytail’s Kolby Keener had a great catch in left field and had three hits at the plate. Kamrin McLaughlin had a mesmerizing grab in left-center field and had two hits, one of them a three-run home run to right field in the top of the first.

McLaughlin also ran the bases like a man possessed. Jase Taylor had three hits and Riley Morton chipped in one hit.

Perry’s Garage played well, but its offense needs some mechanical repairs after the one-run effort.
