The Warren County High School boys basketball team got back to its winning ways Saturday with a 68-65 overtime victory over Notre Dame to improve to 3-1.
It was the second overtime victory in five days for the boys team, which had to survive a shot at the buzzer by Notre Dame in regulation before prevailing in overtime.
Warren County led by double digits most of the night, but Notre Dame closed the gap and forced overtime.
Just like the Pioneers did against DeKalb County four nights before, Warren County jumped out to a big lead and hit clutch free throws down the stretch to win their third game of the season. The victory also helped Warren County salvage a split of its two games in the Woodbury Thanksgiving Classic.
Senior Hunter Daniel and junior Nick Simmons each scored in double figures to lead the Pioneers.
