Warren County held Kings Academy to 14 points after the first quarter and the Pioneers cruised to a one-sided victory during a Christmas tournament in Cookeville.Warren County claimed a 76-27 victory Monday night.Twelve Pioneers got in the scoring column led by Trevor Gaines with 14 points, and Holden Baker and Caleb Newby with 12 points each.It looked like it might be a close game after the first quarter with WCHS holding a 20-13 lead. Gaines scored eight points to pace the Pioneers and Isaac Golden hit the mark on a 3-pointer as the Pioneers pushed their way in front.But Kings Academy would sink like an 8-year-old fruitcake after the opening quarter. The team was held to just one field goal in the second quarter in a measly four-point effort.Meanwhile, Warren County continued its hot pace with a McCall Turner 3-pointer and more scoring from the field and the foul line.
Pioneers win in blowout
