Maybe all the Warren County High School football team needed was its head coach back on the sidelines for the Pioneers to show marked improvement in scrimmages. With coach Tommy Johnson back in the country, the Pioneers traveled to Marshall County Thursday and won three of its five 7-on-7 games throughout the day.Johnson, who was in Africa the previous week when the team went to Cookeville, was happy with the way Warren County played Thursday.“I was very pleased. I thought we had a very good day with the scrimmages,” said Johnson. “We were much improved from our time in Cookeville.”Without linemen in the scrimmages, the Pioneers had no choice but to attack through the air.
