Friday night’s victory for the Warren County High School football team won’t show up in the record book, but it’s something coach Tommy Johnson can only hope is a precursor of things to come for his Pioneers.Warren County won a two-quarter scrimmage with Lincoln County 21-14 at the Marshall County Jamboree as the offense proved to be too potent for the Falcons. The senior class stepped up in a big way for the Pioneers as quarterback Hunter Mullican tossed two long touchdowns to classmates Drew Davidson and D’Andre League while bruising running back Cameron Lusk slammed in from one yard for team’s winning score.Mullican showed poise in the pocket while hitting Davidson for a 70-yard pass down the middle of the field, then enjoyed great protection from his offensive line when he hooked up with League for a 61-yard scoring strike later in the scrimmage. It was the kind of play coach Johnson has come to expect from his senior signal caller.“Hunter looked good throwing the ball,” said Johnson.
