Pioneers ready for battle with Warriors

File photo Warren County and White County will be facing off for the 45th time Friday - the series began in 1969 - when the Pioneers and Warriors clash in Sparta. Warren County leads the all-time series 23-19. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
Building a game plan to face Sparta is simple. Being able to execute it will be anything but. The Pioneers will face a big challenge Friday when they face the Warriors and one of the state’s top quarterbacks, Tripp Pinion. Warren County will be hoping to slow down the dual-threat star and, if it can, a 10-game losing streak could be snapped in another border battle.
