Mired in a four-game losing streak, the Warren County High School boys basketball team saw its schedule get even tougher when the District 6-AAA leading Cookeville Cavaliers came to Charlie Dalton Gym on Tuesday night.Even with the Pioneers playing their best game in two weeks, the losing streak moved to five games as Warren County fell to the Cavaliers 49-42.The Pioneers knew the task at hand Tuesday was a difficult one. Cookeville entered the game 3-0 in District 6-AAA and 20-4 overall.Warren County didn’t back down from the challenge though. The Pioneers played toe-to-toe with Cookeville, never letting the Cavaliers make the big run teams have put together against Warren County lately.Cookeville held a slim 11-10 lead after the first quarter as senior Hunter Daniel scored four early points for the Pioneers.Warren County didn’t have much success scoring in the second quarter, getting only seven points against the Cavaliers.
