Round two of what is supposed to be the Warren County High School football team’s year of resurgence is tonight. The Pioneers hope to win this round.A week after beginning the season with a 20-7 loss to DeKalb County on its home field, Warren County will travel to take on the Shelbyville Golden Eagles at 7 p.m. Shelbyville (1-0) opened its season with a 34-21 victory over Marshall County, coached by former Pioneer offensive coordinator Aaron Pitts. A prolific passing performance by sophomore quarterback Mason Cunningham and the play-making ability of Tyler Eddings was the difference as the Golden Eagles came back from a halftime deficit to win.Cunningham finished 17-of-27 with 262 yards passing and three touchdowns.
