Several seniors on the 8-3 Pioneer football team have received considerable attention from college recruiters. Rarely has a Warren County football team had players receive multiple offers to play college ball.

Other offers may be forthcoming for these and other seniors in the near future. C.J. Taylor recently announced his intent to sign with Vanderbilt. He’s received the only D-I offers thus far.

An announcement regarding all-region honors will be made as soon as Oakland finishes its season in the playoffs. The region waits to announce the awards until every team has completed its season.

The Pioneer football team will have a virtual banquet in December and the team awards that are voted by Pioneer coaches will be announced at the banquet. Squad 52 has plenty of celebrating left in the calendar year.

Seniors receiving college football offers are the following:

Doug Wells said, “To say I’m blessed to be in the position I’m in to have schools want me to come play for them would be an understatement. I have an idea of where I wanna go, but I’m still weighing my options. I’m very thankful to all the schools that want me to come play for them. The recruiting process has been a blessing, and I’m thankful to be where I’m at. I will be making my announcement soon.”
