Warren County's season came to an end last year at Siegel High School just one win from the state tournament.
The Pioneers returned to that same gym Tuesday night.
With a chance to avenge last year's defeat, Warren County couldn't overcome a talented Siegel squad in suffering a 64-44 loss in Murfreesboro.
Kaden Desmaris was the top scorer for the Pioneers from the post with 10 points. Nate Elrod and Kaden Rutledge each scored 8 for Warren County.
Siegel started the game as smooth as a mountain stream, taking a 32-17 lead at the half.
The loss evens Warren County's record at 7-7 heading into the team's district opener Friday night at The Dalt when Franklin County comes to McMinnville.
